  BLACK ROCK

The Black Rock comes from the Muirfield Hatchery in Scotland and is bred from a Rhode Isand Cockerel X Plymouth Rock female. A surperb free range egg layer. She is the leader of the pack of the black coloured birds and is very hardy and placid. Laying 280+ light brown eggs a year.

 A calm hen and very placid she is a cream coloured hen with variable copper coloured markings. She has an inquisitive friendly nature making an ideal first time hen, laying 330+ brown eggs a year.

A beautiful placid grey/blue feathered bird. True Bluebell hens are only available from Meadowsweet and their Agents, anybody else selling these hens are doing so fraudulently. She lays 260+ brown eggs a year.

The Gold Star is a cross between Rhode Island Red and Light Sussex with shades of brown and cream. She has a lovely nature and is liable to break  into a trot chasing you for affection, she makes an ideal family hen. Very friendly and calm, laying approx. 330+ brown eggs a year.
